 There is one problem that affects the  embyroment: The Great Pacific Garbage Patch.

 This zone is a collection of waste and  marine debris in the North Pacific Sea.

 There is a lot of rubbish, in special,  plastic that is taken there when it has no  more use.

 

 This problem will take ages to be solved,  but by now, we can do things to at least  don't aggravate the problem.

 The things that we can do is to:

 -Reduce

 -Reuse

 -Recycle

 If we all do this, the problem would not get  worse!

Characteristics:

It is a toxic plastic that is sometimes recycled. It should never be in contact with food.

- Plastic table clothes

- Waste water pipes

It is yellow and soft. It is usually alloyed with other metals.

PROPERTIES:

It's malleable and ductile. Excellent conductor of heat and electricity.

APPLICATIONS:

It is used for jewelry, electronics and coins.

HISTORY:

Gold is a very appreciated metal with many applications in ancient times.

Healh and Enviroment: 

It is not toxic to humans and living creatures (in the right amount). It is not harmful for the environment.
